Day 2 - After an amazing Monday finding the herd, watching the battles today was going to be hard to beat that action. We had to find the herd to see what happened over the night. We spent searching the island for the small herd and Wavelength. During the morning we did not find them anywhere. Then Tuesday night as we were walking out in the marsh looking for the great steeds we found them - far away - too far for our lenses to capture a good image and too far for us to get to by boat. I did manage to get some small images. It was obvious that Cyclopse had taken control over the herd during the night. He chased Wavelength away. It was hard for us to watch. The past couple of days we all become very attached to this herd. To watch him fall was heartbreaking to all of us. It also appeared that both horses were suffering from their injuries of the battles. Both seemed lame and exhausted and we almost cried as we watch Wavelength stand all alone as her herd was taken away by Cyclopse, including his foal, his little stallion who we nicknamed 'Waverunner".
